Homogeneous structure of polyester fabric with PTFE and MoS₂ additives for self lubricating properties.
Suitable for slow rotating and oscillating movements. Not suitable for linear motion.
Wound composite plain bearings have a low coefficient of friction and show virtually no stick-slip effect. Fiber Marine bearings are ideally suited for use with stainless steel shafts such as AISI 304 and AISI 316.
The polyester fabric contains no hard particles that could damage relatively soft shafts (such as stainless steel types). Due to their flexible construction, these self lubricating plain bearings are also highly resistant to edge loading. Fiber Marine plain bearings may be relubricated. Consult our engineers for the most suitable design and the layout of lubrication grooves.
